The Tuning Authority Behind Nelson Performance
Allen has been involved with cars since the age of 12 and brings over 20 years of experience in the automotive industry. He holds an Associate Degree in Electronics and is highly proficient in HP Tuners and other calibration platforms.
Allen’s primary role at Nelson Performance is custom tuning and calibration, ensuring every vehicle performs safely, reliably, and to its full potential. He also supervises installations and provides technical direction for the shop.
He particularly enjoys working with GM V8 trucks, SUVs, Camaros, and Corvettes, especially when it comes to camshaft upgrades, forced induction builds, and dialing in the perfect tune.
Favorite Projects: Farmtruc (his personal race truck) and the twin-turbo 1957 Bel Air.
Favorite GM Platforms: OBS trucks and Duramax diesels.
Why Cars? Driven by curiosity and a lifelong need for speed.
Outside of Work: Allen enjoys relaxing, shooting, and riding his Kawasaki ZX14.
The Power Behind the Performance
Lisa has more than 20 years of experience in the automotive industry and is the operational backbone of Nelson Performance.
She manages marketing, social media, website development, scheduling, customer communication, bookkeeping, and daily shop operations. Lisa also helps coordinate builds and ensures customers have a smooth and professional experience from the first phone call to vehicle pickup.
She holds a Google Digital Marketing Certificate and is passionate about both customer experience and growing the Nelson Performance brand.
Specialties: Operations management, customer service, scheduling, digital marketing, branding, and shop coordination.
Favorite Projects: Lisa loves every build but especially enjoys the excitement of hearing a freshly cammed engine fire up for the first time.
Personal Rides: 2009 Cadillac Escalade and 2017 Chevrolet Camaro.
If Ray Can’t Fix It, No One Can
Ray brings 23 years of automotive industry experience to Nelson Performance. He is ASE Master Certified, making him one of the most experienced technicians in the shop.
Ray is known for his diagnostic expertise and precision workmanship. Vehicles that other shops cannot figure out often end up in his bay, where he methodically tracks down the issue and gets them back on the road.
While Ray works on a wide range of vehicles, his passion lies in classic C-10 trucks and performance builds.
Favorite Projects: The twin-turbo 1957 Bel Air and Farmtruc.

Keeping the Shop Running Smoothly
Jo Ann plays an important role in the day-to-day operations at Nelson Performance. She handles phone calls, billing, customer communication, and QuickBooks data entry, helping ensure the business side of the shop runs efficiently.
In addition to office responsibilities, Jo Ann assists wherever needed. You will often find her out in the shop helping the technicians and supporting the team to keep projects moving.
Her versatility and willingness to jump in wherever help is needed make her a valuable part of the Nelson Performance team.
Responsibilities: Customer phone support, billing, invoicing, QuickBooks data entry, scheduling assistance, and general shop support.
Personal Ride: 2024 Chevrolet Silverado.
Learning the Craft. Building the Future.
Jesus “Chuy” Cuevas has been part of the Nelson Performance family on and off since 2017. He originally started in the harness room and, through dedication and hard work, worked his way into the shop as a technician.
Today, Chuy serves as a Junior Technician, assisting with installations, maintenance, and shop projects while continuing to expand his mechanical knowledge.
He is currently working toward his ASE certifications and is committed to building a long-term career in the automotive industry.
Focus Areas: Assisting with installations, supporting diagnostics and repairs, and continuing technical training.
Personal Ride: 2018 Duramax diesel.
