All installations are done by appointment only. This allows us to focus on your vehicle. All customers are important to us and everyone will receive the same dedicated one-on-one service.
How we got started
Allen Nelson worked for a computer company in 2002 and was converting his 1994 Sierra V6 with a true LS1 engine from a 1999 Corvette in his spare time. After he completed the build under his carport at home, he was unable to get any tuning support for his new conversion. He exhausted all possible resources and was told that there was no market for tuning trucks and they didn’t want to tune his truck. Allen was a member of several online forums at the time and began to talk to other enthusiasts on the internet. He found that there were other truck owners that could not get any tuning for their trucks either. Keep in mind that Allen lives in TEXAS. Texas is known for trucks, so this just did not make any sense to him. Allen decided that he would purchase the required tools and learn to tune himself. The great thing was that Allen already had a computer related background. The new tuning adventure complimented and made sense with his education in computers and vehicles. With a $16,000 investment he was soon meeting other truck guys just like himself at local gas stations to tune their trucks. The $16,000 investment was paid off in 6 months, Nelson Performance and farmtruc was born!
